What I did last night

I would never have pictured myself sprinting a dark mile through the high streets of Edinburgh at 3:30 AM with two other men, but there you have it; my reason I will not be posting pictures today.

Richard and Gwen invited me out to one of their friends stand up comedy night and, while it was more of a TED-talks than a stand up comedy night, it was good fun. The two glasses of white wine however gave me quite a craving for food.

I stayed in the bar with one of the most ecstatic groups of people over 40 I have ever hung out with. Seeing as one of them was the comedian, one his mother, and the rest street performers, I suppose that makes sense. We all got a taxi to an American diner, at 2 in the morning and I devoured my fish and chips without saying much as they talked about the creation of the world wide web and how life had been before that. Rather than get a taxi back, Richard, one of the other performers, and I all ran home. Whether it was the wine, endorphins, dark, or serious sprinting we did, I ended up with the biggest runners high I can remember ever having.

I also slept in till 11:30.

Today is windy, the kind that makes your van rock back and forward and making you believe someone is setting off fireworks a block away, only to realize it is simply the tarp seizing. I stayed in my small space for a while reading Born To Run and contemplating everything possible probably more than I ought to. Then in a burst of energy; escaped the van and make it to the cafe.

Thus today I have no pictures.
